Custom Orders Don’t Upset Us!

So I was happy yesterday to receive a custom request to do an infinity cowl in a black yarn. The customer wanted the black blended with something else…so off to my yarn stash I went. This is what I found:576964_557593164275265_1394947334_n

Last night while comfy in front of my cozy fireplace this is what I whipped up:484215_557593267608588_918524389_n

I was pretty happy with how it turned out, but I have to say I definitely like it doubled up like this the best:483842_557593400941908_1736699812_n
The best part of all, the customer loves it!
So custom orders don’t upset me! I love it!

I just came across this sweet picture of my 11 year old….years ago as Dorothy & knew she had to be added to this post!
Rainbows.... One of my Favorite things!

This was my reward for driving through a crazy black sky, full of wind & rain…. coming out the other side of this brief storm I was blessed with this beautiful rainbow. I realized how rainy days aren’t so bad when a little sun shines on the subject!
This inspired my latest treasury of wonderful etsy finds. Check it out! There will be another chance to vote on the Delaware etsystreet team blog beginning next Wednesday.

Dr. Suess Day

Today was Dr. Suess celebration day at school.  We began with breakfast complete with fresh fruit, oatmeal, bread pudding and the famous Green Eggs and

Ham. Dr. Suess classics  were read aloud by Ms. Heather and Ms. Krista & I did “draw a Suess” character. Mid morning we played Suess word games, and had a ball at the photo booth.  The kids could choose a bright yellow Lorax mustache or Cat in the Hat hat w/ red neck tie for their individual portrait behind a bright blue frame. Secondly, they poked their faces in a cut out of Thing 1 and Thing 2.  After lunch and recess we watched Dr. Suess videos featuring science vocabulary like nocturnal, and migration.  We then each made a Lorax mustache photo prop to take home, and I  passed out homemade Thing1 and Thing 2 pencils complete with crazy blue hair.  We ended our day the way we bagain it with Green Eggs & Ham only this time it was read by Tim Tebow.
